The Bank Restaurant wins the title of Best Chili in Downtown Wheaton

Congratulations to The Bank Restaurant, our 2011 Chili-Cook-off winner and Ivy, our runner up! The Bank (as well as some others!) took full advantage of the day’s beautiful weather and served their winning chili outdoors, with live music and the chef to talk shop.

From a pumpkin-based chili at Il Sogno to chili cornbread sandwiches at Skylight Bakery, this year’s chili’s were among the most creative and diverse to date. Attendance was doubled from last year’s at this sold out event. Thank you to all who made this year’s Chili Cook-off a huge success!

Front Street Dance Center is proud to announce auditions for the Wheaton Starz Dance Troupe and the Wheaton Youth Ballet. Auditions will be on Sat Aug 27, Sat Sept 10 & Sun Sep 11. All dancers between the ages of 3 & 18 are welcome to audition. Rehearsals start Sat Oct 8. Our dance companies will be performing in the community and competing. Wheaton’s French Market has been voted the “Best Farmers’ Market” in West Suburban Living Magazine’s “Best of the West” reader survey, published in the March/April issue!

Stop by the award winning Winter French Market at the Wheaton Metra Station on Saturdays from 8am – 1pm, through April 16th. Can’t make it? The French Market will be reopening on South Main Street & East Liberty Drive on April 23rd. The market will be open on Saturdays from 8am – 2pm through November 5th.
