The much anticipated ice skating rinks in Downtown Wheaton are now open!   Located at the Wheaton’s Park District Central Athletic Complex at 500 South Naperville Road in Wheaton, the two lighted, outdoor ice rinks are open to the public at no charge. This Saturday, January 14th at 11am the Wheaton Park District will host a special ribbon cutting ceremony at the rinks. Special ice skating demonstrations on the rinks will follow the ceremony.  The public is invited to attend.

The rinks will accommodate up to 288 skaters on the east side of the complex’s athletic fields.  Measuring 5,800 square feet, the smaller of the two rinks will host ice hockey and the larger rink at ( 8,600 square feet) will host open skating.  Skate rental and concessions will not be provided; so be sure to bring your own skates. Restrooms and a warming trailer are on site.  Look for the green flag to signal that the rinks are open for skating.  A red flag means the rinks are closed due to weather conditions.   For updates go to:
