Who We Are
The Downtown Wheaton Association (DWA) plays a vital role in the success of downtown Wheaton. The DWA offices are located at 108 East Wesley Street in Downtown Wheaton. Office hours are Monday-Friday 9am to 5pm.
By supporting the downtown business community, hosting a variety of events, encouraging new business development and raising consumer awareness, the DWA helps to ensure that downtown Wheaton continues to grow and improve. An independent organization, we partner with the City of Wheaton and the Wheaton Chamber of Commerce.
The DWA hosts several signature events throughout the year. These help reinforce a sense of community and bring people together to enjoy great food, the beautiful downtown Wheaton environment and the company of good friends. These events include:
- The French Market
- The Chili Cookoff
- Vintage Rides
- Boo-palooza- Downtown Wheaton Trick-or-Treat
- A Dickens of a Christmas
- Wheaton Wedding Walk
- Wheaton’s Wine and Cultural Arts Festival
- And more
Events and other DWA efforts—such as our Shoppers’ Club, the shop and business directory on this website and a comprehensive marketing strategy—help to raise consumer awareness of all the wonderful shops, restaurants and services downtown Wheaton has to offer. We encourage the community to support our local businesses.
In addition, we assist local businesses in their marketing efforts and support business owners who seek to open a new retail shop or service business in downtown Wheaton. Together, loyal patrons, current business owners and new businesses help make downtown Wheaton the community destination is today.
